Alicia Prince represents clients in the education and health care sectors.  She is expert at navigating complex municipal and state bureaucracies, including large urban school districts, on behalf of GPA clients.

Prior to joining GPA, Alicia served as the Chief of Staff and the Chief Operating Officer for the School District of Philadelphia. In that role, she led strategy development and execution, policy development, intergovernmental relations, coordination with the Philadelphia School Board, and government and external relations.  Alicia was chiefly responsible for successfully negotiating with the school district’s labor unions for the safe return of students and teachers following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Previously, Alicia also served as the Chief of Staff for the Baltimore City Public Schools, as well as in various senior-level roles within the District of Columbia Public Schools.  GPA clients benefit from her significant political experience, having worked on and run municipal political campaigns, as well as working at the Council of the District of Columbia.  Alicia’s unique experience provides unparalleled insight into how decisions are made in large municipalities.

Alicia received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Hampton University and a Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law.  She was selected for the prestigious “Broad Fellowship” from the Broad Institute, where she earned a Masters in Education Leadership.
